#1: “PAXTON”
This classic opening hole
is a slightly uphill par 4, golfers who aim slightly right of the
target bunker on the left side are “on course” to find PAXTON’S
large receptive landing area. A menacing bunker guards the right
side of this otherwise receptive green.

#2: “EPWORTH”
The longer hitter should
keep in mind that a birdie is not out of the question on this deeply
contoured par 5. The rock outcropping adds great character to this
excellent golf hole.

#3: “DINKY”
Exceptional Par 3’s are
the standard at The Vista Links. This picturesque golf hole affords
little room for error, so try not to “spray” your tee shot. Keep in
mind the prevailing winds will play havoc on your choice of clubs.

#4: “THE OLD BARN”
The Vista Link’s shortest
and perhaps most stunning Par 4 is routed across a ravine to a
generous green framed by an old barn in the background. Several
options off of the tee seem to keep you wondering.

#5: “ROBEY”
Visual intimidation is the
theme at “ROBEY”. The tees are benched into the hillside and
overlook a treacherous gorge of native grasses. Three-putting is not
uncommon on this severely undulated green.

#6: ‘”CASSIMERE”
This sensational hole
plays longer than it measures. After a solid tee shot, the second
shot must avoid the trouble and set up an approach into a well
guarded green.

#7: “MOOMAW”
A gentle dogleg right
offering a generous fairway off the tee, the second shot will play
downhill into a small green guarded by a large bunker.

#8: “THE TANNERY”
A beautiful drive toward a
receptive fairway will set up for an uphill approach shot. One of
The Vista Link’s smallest greens is defended by a right side bunker
set well below the putting surface.

#9: “MARLBROOK”
Another of the outstanding
golf holes on the course. An expansive fairway allows the golfer to
“rip-it” off the tee. Menacing bunkers are strategically placed to
gather any mis-hit shots.

#10: “JORDAN”
A slight dog leg to the
left, this par 4 demands accuracy off the tee. A bunker on the right
directs the shot to the left. From there, a second shot to an
elevated green giving opportunity for birdie.

#11 “LOCH LAIRD”
A short Par 4 leaves many
options off the tee. Stay away from the left side and stay clear of
the bunker. The green is level and will hold a short iron shot.

#12 “MERRIWETHER”
Our 12th hole
is a great test of golf. Favor the left side off the tee. Then the
second shot is played between the bunkers to generous landing area,
setting up a short approach into a severely undulated green.

#13 “HART’S BOTTOM”
Don’t lose concentration
with the change in elevation. This Par 3 requires a pinpoint tee
shot into a well guarded green.

#14 “GREEN FOREST”
Playing through a
tree-lined chute there is no bailout here. The simple green,
protected by a creek, challenges the best. The tee shot should be
played with an iron for control, setting up a short approach.

#15 “CHALK MINE RUN”
This solid par 4 is
another true test of The Vista Links. The tee shot requires accuracy
in order to have an acceptable line at the green that is guarded by
beautiful Sycamore trees on both sides of the green.

#16 “BLUE HOLE
An extremely enjoyable
hole which places a high premium on course management. Big hitters
can reach this well guarded green in two. “Blue Hole” should yield
many birdies for those who can stay on track.

#17 “McCLUER”
Large bunkers are common
on this par 3. This uphill hole is all carry with no where to miss.
Try to make 3 and move quietly to the next hole.

#18 “WAVERLY”
After admiring the
panoramic splendor provided at the 18th tee, golfers are
advised to “set sail” with the driver, while allowing the prevailing
winds to guide them home.
